Camp Ruperto Kangleon – PNP PRO8 sustains its campaign against wanted persons in the region through a series of successful serving of warrants against listed persons.
On January 27, 2012 at about 5:00PM, a person identified as BERNARD ARGILLES BERNALES, 52 years old, married and a resident of Barangay Tabugon, Liloan Southern Leyte was arrested by Liloan Police led by PINSP ROMEO RABUYA.
BERNALES was caught in the act of issuing ticket to an individual of said place. Confiscated from his possession and control were three (3) tally sheets, stub, ball pen and bet money amounting to P46.00.
On the next day, January 28, 2012 at about 3:00AM, operatives of Albuera Police Station, conducted a fishery law enforcement at the territorial shores of Barangay poblacion, Albuera, Leyte. They were able to intercept a fishing vessel marked as F/B Western Star-1, owned and manned by Lauro G. Placido together with seventeen (17) crew members.
Suspects were caught in the act engaging in illegal fishing in violation of the Municipal Ordinance Number 2003-18 of Section 12 and 22. They were immediately turned-over to the Department of Agriculture for proper disposition.
And on the same date at about 11:00AM, Hinunangan Police led by PSINSP CASTOR L CABILOGAN were able to confiscate one (1) caliber 357 Smith and Wesson revolver with no serial number with six (6) rounds of live ammos from the possession and control of a certain CONSORCIA GABRIENTO TOGONON.
The confiscation of said firearm was brought about during the implementation of warrant of Arrest to the suspect. He was then put under the custody of Hinunangan Police Station for filing of appropriate charges in court.
Chief, RPCRD, ELIZAR PATANO EGLOSO notes that the arrest of these persons were fast tracked by the active participation of the community and the intensified implementation of the PNP IMPLAN TUGIS.
