Camp Ruperto K Kangleon, Palo, Leyte - Four deserving police officers in Police Regional Office 8 were given awards during the 18th PNP Ethics Day celebration with the theme: “Sustaining Honest and Efficient Police Service” which coincides with the Distinguished Visitors Program in which the guest of honor and speaker was Mrs. Ma. Natividad L Costibolo, Chief, Personnel Specialist Human Resource Division , Civil Service Commision 8.
PCSUPT ARNOLD RAYALA REVILLA, Regional Director announces two Police Commissioned Officers received Medalya ng Mabuting Asal namely: PSUPT JENNIFER R SUMPO and PSI HILARIO R MONTERON JR and (1) one Non-Police Commissioned Officer PO2 Ramil B Naputo for their conspicuous devotion to duty extended for a period of five (5) years without any record of punishment, conviction or derogatory information whatsoever Then the Medalya Ng Pagtulong Sa Nasalanta was also awarded to PSI REX B CANTILLEP for his active participation in the rescue/relief and rehabilitation operations to landslide victims at Sitio Cugao, Brgy Guinsorongan, Catbalogan City last October 21, 2011.
He said that in line with the police services of every country must have ethical and honest personnel as its serving members. No police service can effectively serve its country if the police personnel lack ethical standards. The same people who enforce the law must also obey the law, or the police will lose the respect of the public then the latter will be cooperative.
Meanwhile, during the message of Mrs Costibolo she emphasizes that all public servants must perform their duties with integrity, intelligence and competence apart from fully participating in moral values formation programs.
She also noted that the Chief PNP, Director General Nicanor A Bartolome leads the police organization’s effort to sustain honesty and efficiency in the service under his “Serbisyong Tapat at May Pagkukusa” program of action.
