‘Go Leyte’ to be aired over IBC-6 starting Jan. 14






TACLOBAN CITY – A travel show program conceptualized by the Leyte Pride Project, the provincial government of Leyte and the Department of Tourism in this region that will showcase culture, tradition, cuisine, history and different tourist attractions of the province is set to start its airing over local television station IBC-6 this January 14, 2012.

The program, dubbed as Go Leyte and hosted by vibrant young Leyteños, aims to provide a glimpse and ideas to audience if what places and what are the things that visitors can do each time they visit municipalities and cities in the province of Leyte.

“We want to ring a bell to the people from and outside the province of Leyte,” said Anjo Abrillo of Go Leyte.

The program carries three banners: “discover”, “explore” and “celebrate,” Abrillo added.

“We want people like those who have roots that are from the province to discover our province and let them experience things that we can offer them,” he added.

Among the areas to be showed in some of the episodes of program are the Calanggaman Island, Quatro Islas in Inopacan, Abuyug and several places that had not yet been discovered or a few had just visited the place.

Aside from various tourist attraction that are to be shown, Abrillo added that sports activities that are known in the province and other outdoor and adventure sports are also to be featured in the show.
