Camp Ruperto K Kangleon, Palo, Leyte - Once again, Chief Superintendent Arnold Rayala Revilla said that he has instructed his men to enforce all laws and ordinances relative to the protection of lives & properties.
He discloses that at about 2:15 PM of March 2, 2011, the newly activated mobile patrol unit of Tacloban City Police Office led by PSI Eufrocino Maunahan, conducted Oplan Bakal/Sita along Ninoy Aquino Ave, fronting Leyte National High School (LNHS) campus, Tacloban City in relation to the implementation of RA 10054, RA 4136 and other Laws and Ordinances. During the conduct of operations, several motorcycle riding in tandem individuals were flagged down for verification that eventually led to the apprehension of brothers Noel Gonzales, 40 years old, married and Jessrel Gonzales, 26 years old, single, and all both resident of Tacloban City, Leyte. Confiscated from the suspects’ possession and control were the following: short firearms, caliber .45 pistol and caliber .38 marked with Smith and Wesson revolver; Five (5) sachet transparent containing white Crystalline substance suspected to be Methamphetamine Hydrochloride also known as “Shabu”; Four (4) ampoules containg unknown liquid substance; Cash money amounting to Fifteen Thousand Pesos (Php 15,000.00); One (1) unit Samsung cellular phone; several ammunitions for calibers . 45 and .38; and other personal items such as clutch bag; backpack and one (1) unit Honda motorcycle bearing temporary plate number BB1104, registered to a certain Triumpo R Bañez of Brgy 82, Apitong, Tacloban City which is under the custody of Tacloban City Police Office pending verification of vehicle registration with the LTO Regional Office 8. Cases for Violation of RA 8294 and RA 9165 were prepared for filing against the suspects.
