PR08 NAB 8 MWP IN EV

Camp Ruperto K Kangleon, Palo, Leyte - Police Chief Superintendent Arnold Rayala Revilla, Police Regional Office 8 Director disclosed that police operatives nabbed 8 Most Wanted Persons in Eastern Visayas recently.

With his, he called the assistance of the people in the communities, the barangay tanods and the force multipliers in locating the wanted persons in Eastern Visayas who are with numerous charges including identity theft, forgery, and numerous other related charges.

He also urged the people who have information that might be useful to the police to please call the Police Hotline any time of the day and night, 323-7267 or 323-3023.
According to him that at about 8:00 of February 28, 2011 in Brgy Socorro, Catbalogan, Samar, elements of Catbalogan Police Station led by PSupt Joseph Nicolasor Pensotes, COP together with PSI Francisco A Sumpo Jr and five (5) PNCOs arrested Marlu Honrales alias “Marion Honrales”, 49 years old, married and a resident of aforesaid place by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon Sofronio A Monsanto, Presiding Judge of RTC 8, Branch 29, Catbalogan, Samar. Subject person was charged for the crime of Frustrated Murder docketed under CC Nr 5732 with recommended bail of Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (P 200,000.00) for his temporary liberty. The arrested person was temporarily detained at Catbalogan Police Station for proper disposition action.
Then, at about 4:30 PM of February 28, 2011 in Brgy 7, Catbalogan, Samar, elements of Catbalogan Police Station led by PSupt Joseph Nicolasor Pensotes, COP together with PSI Francisco A Sumpo Jr and five (5) PNCOs arrested one Roberto Salas alias “Bobet”, 43 years old, married and a resident of aforesaid place by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Hon Sofronio A Monsanto, Presiding Judge of RTC8, Branch 29, Catbalogan, Samar. Subject person was charged for the crime of Frustrated Murder docketed under CC Nr 5732 with recommended bail of Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (P200,000.00) for his temporary liberty. The arrested person was temporarily detained at Catbalogan Police Station for proper dispositive action.

After that, at about 1:30 PM of February 26, 2011 in Brgy 06, Balangiga, ESamar, elements of Balangiga PS arrested one Reynaldo Acid, of legal age and a resident of aforesaid place by virtue of Warrant of Arrrest issued by Hon Rolando M Lacdo-o, Presiding Judge of RTC 8, Branch 42, Balangiga, Eastern Samar. Subject person was charged for violation of COMELEC Resolution Nr 8714 in relation to BP Blg 6 with recommended bail of Twelve Thousand Pesos (P12,000.00) for his temporary liberty. The arrested person was temporarily detained at Balangiga Police Station for proper dispositive action.

Subsequently, at about 6:00 PM of February 28, 2011 in Brgy 5 Pob., Gen MacAarthur, Eastern Samar, joint elements of Gen MacArthur Police Station and 1st Maneuver Company of 8th RPSB stationed at Quinapondan, ESamar led by PI Elmerson C Badilla, COP and PI J-Rale O Paalisbo, Platoon Leader, respectively arrested one Melecio Lunario alias “Mely”, of legal age, fisherman and a resident of Brgy Naga, Quinapondan, ESamar by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon Ricardo B Lapesura, Presiding Judge of RTC 8, Branch 3, Guiuan, Eastern Samar dated 14 July 1997. Subject person was charged for the crime of Murder with no bail recommended. The arrested person was temporarily detained at Gen MacArthur Police Station prior turn-over to the court of origin.

Later, at about 11:30 AM of February 28, 2011 along Anubing St., Brgy Cogon, Ormoc City, elements of PS 1 of Ormoc CPO led by PSI Shevert Alvin L Machete together with five (5) PNCOs arrested one Junrey Albano alias “Junrey”, 15 years old and a resident of Purok Acasia, Brgy Camp Downes, Ormoc City by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Clinton C Nuevo, Presiding Judge of RTC 8, Branch 12, Ormoc City. Subject person was charged for the crime of Murder docketed under CC Nr R-ORM-11-00035-HC and was subsequently held at PS 1 for proper dispositive action.

Shortly, at about 2:40 PM of February 28, 2011 in P-1, Brgy Baay, Tinambacan District, Calbayog City, Samar, elements of Calbayog City Police Station led by PI Reynaldo P Lim together with two (2) PNCOs arrested one Rosaleo Pana alias “Diosdado Octano”, 42 years old, married, Chief Tanod and a resident of aforesaid place by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Felipe B Maglana, Asst Judge of MTCC, Calbayog City, Samar. Subject person was charged for the crime of Attempted Homicide docketed under CC Nr 11-14004 with recommended bail of Twelve Thousand Pesos (P12,000.00) for his temporary liberty. The arrested person was temporarily detained at Calbayog CPS for proper dispositive action.

Before long, at about 6:00 AM of February 28, 2011 in Brgy Zone III, Sta Fe, Leyte, elements of Sta Fe Police Station led by SPO1 Geronimo B Romawak Jr arrested one Raul Egana, 43 years old, married and a resident of aforesaid place by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon Alphinor C Serrano, Presiding Judge of RTC 8, Branch 6, Tacloban City. Subject person was charged for the crime of Estafa docketed under CC Nr 2011-01-70 with recommended bail of Sixteen Thousand Pesos (P16,000.00) for his temporary liberty. The arrested person was temporarily detained at Sta Fe PS for proper dispositive action.

Lastly, at about 10:00 AM of February 25, 2011 in Sitio Proper, Brgy Manlilinao, Ormoc, City, elements of Matag-ob Police Station led by PI Maturino Diaz together with three (3) PNCOs arrested one Guillermo Montemor, 48 years old, married, a farmer and a resident of Brgy Manlilinao, Ormoc City by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon Francisco C Gedorio Jr, Presidng Judge of RTC 8, Branch 12, Ormoc City. Subject person was charged for the crime of Frustrated Murder and two counts for Attempted Murder docketed under CC Nrs 6983-0 and 6985-0 with recommended bail of Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (P200,000.00) and Twenty Thousand Pesos (P 20,000.00), respectively for his temporary liberty. The arrested person was temporarily detained at matag-ob Police Station for proper dispositive action.//
