PNP NEEDS 18 POLICE LAWYER OFFICERS

Camp Ruperto K Kangleon, Palo, Leyte - The Philippine National Police – Legal Service made an offer to lawyers to join the police organization through its lateral entry program.

Chief Superintendent Arnold Rayala Revilla, Regional Director, said that the PNP Legal Service has 18 vacant positions for lawyers to be admitted via lateral entry for CY 2011. These positions are slated to fill-up the vacant positions due to the resignation and other mode of separation from the service of PNP Lawyers. He said that these lawyers will be admitted via lateral entry for CY 2011 in the PNP LS and applications can be submitted at the PNP LS HQ up to March 31, 2011.

He said the total of 18 professionals will be commissioned into the PNP Officer Corps under the 2011 Lateral Entry program to fill-up requirements for more Police commissioned Officers in lower units.

Those who will be appointed to the initial rank of Police Inspector (equivalent to captain in the military) with a basic monthly salary of P27,338.00 with other allowances and fringe benefits.

“They will all undergo the mandatory Public Safety Officers Advance Course and Field Training Program before reporting to their respective assignments,” said Revilla.
Revilla explained that these police lawyer officers are supposed to be filled up this year based on the authorization from the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) under the 2011 Lateral Entry Program.//
