Anti-Drug elements of PDEA RO8-Samar
Provincial Office arrested a Drug Personality during a buy-bust operation
conducted on March 4, 2017 at around 9:30 PM at the suspect’s residence along
Licenciado St., Purok 2,Brgy. West Awang, Calbayog City, Samar.
In a report submitted to PDEA
Director General Isidro S. Lapeña, elements of PDEA Regional Office 8 under
Director Edgar T. Jubay identified the suspect as Ramon Evaristo Tamonan y Rosales alyas “Barit” (Target Listed),
Dentist, 57 y.o., male, married.
Purchased and seized from the suspect
were eleven (11) pcs. heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white
crystalline substance suspected to be Methamphetamine Hydrochloride also known
as Shabu with a total estimated weight of
60 grams with an estimated market value of four hundred eighty thousand pesos (Php 480,000.00), and various drug
paraphernalia.
Evaristo will be charged for violation
of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous
Drugs), and Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Article II of RA
9165.
The suspect is now temporarily
detained at Calbayog City Police Station while waiting for his confinement order. (PDEA-8 PR)
